THE LAST WATCHER
D.B. Clifton
Read by Simon Prebble

The young man was a fool to have run out of gas. Now, as he’s walking along a dark road in the mountains of Bulgaria, he stumbles over the body of a dead monk. Little does he know that life as he has known it is over. Simon Prebble is the perfect choice to narrate this short drama about a monastery in which a mad monk, “the last watcher,” guards something truly terrifying. Prebble’s crisp British accent is somewhat muted as he gives life to the frightened monk. You can hear the hysterical fear in the old monk’s voice and the desperate confusion in that of the young visitor, who fears what’s behind the door more than the howling monsters outside.
