BIRTHDAYS CAN BE MURDER

Narrator Julia Barrie does justice to the many wily suspects who converge on the Greers' manor house in Devon, England. The occasion is a very upscale 21st birthday party for the Greer twins, Alicia and Justin. Complications begin when traveling cook and amateur sleuth Jenny Starling arrives just as the gardener's body is discovered. Barrie sparkles as the tall, husky Jenny, the snobbish Alicia, and the multitude of upstairs-downstairs characters who keep the police busy in their investigation. Audio compounds the fun when Jenny solves the crime by chatting with anyone and everyone who will talk with her and eavesdropping on all.
