GUILT EDGED

An unusual variety of people inhabits this latest Lina Townend mystery, and narrator Diana Bishop bestows a fine narration. When a mysterious woman brings a gorgeous Beswick pony figurine to the Tripp-Townend antiques shop, Lina becomes suspicious. She's even more concerned when more ponies appear in other local art galleries. Bishop beautifully creates the special relationship between young art restorer Lina and her older, gay business partner, Griff Tripp. Their conversations are a special delight for listeners, even more than usual since Griff now has serious health problems. Less important but always believable are DCI Freya Webb and DC Carwyn Morgan, who come to the fore when the police and the art community unite to track down some wily criminals.
