Veteran reader Michael Prichard is a fitting choice to narrate Ludlum's latest and perhaps final thriller. Prichard dives right in and handles the frenetic pacing for which this writer is known. Prichard works this tale of conspiracy and murder like a sports announcer describing a football team. An heir to a financial empire teams up with a federal agent to challenge a Machiavellian organization bent on world domination; along the way, he uncovers a family secret long buried. Prichard, who handles the fast-paced action skillfully, is also better than most with the complex foreign-language dialogue peppered throughout. A.L.H.
