At CBS for thirty years, Goldberg seems to have been a corporate favorite until he published an Op-Ed in the WALL STREET JOURNAL criticizing his own network for a spectacularly unbalanced profile of presidential candidate Stephen Forbes. The in-house reaction was swift and violent. Goldberg became an "unperson." He was accused of being right-wing, but then "everybody to the right of Lenin is a 'right-winger,' according to the media elites," writes Goldberg in this bestselling rebuttal. The author's voice speaks volumes. This is a smart guy and hard working, but when he calls the network stars America's royalty, you suspect he has some ermine in his own closet. Listen up, though.
