HEART AT WORK

The authors alternate reading warm, feel-good stories about work. Miller's voice is slightly nasal, and she sounds as if she's staring at the script, working hard to keep her place. Canfield sounds more relaxed; his northeastern twang, pleasant and friendly, gives a comfortable tone to the inspiring tidbits. Emphasizing thanking people for a job well done, these vignettes intend to encourage people to inject kindness into corporate America. Despite the enjoyable subject matter, these lessons could be learned in less than four tapes, relieving listeners of repetition of content and some of the tedious narrative. A.G.H.
