IN ALASKA WITH SHIPWRECK KELLY

The year is 1897, and it's the last great gold rush. U.S. Marshall Patrick Kelly of Montana and his partners are racing Diamond Jack McGowan and his beautiful daughter, Lila, to the Yukon to set up a gambling casino. Rob McQuay's careful reading style and soothing, well-modulated voice are perfectly suited to narrating Cushman's unique and breathtaking descriptions of Alaska's untouched beauty, as well as the frenetic and desperate race up the waterways. McQuay contrasts the personalities of Kelly and McGowan by using a slower, measured tone for cowboy Kelly and a deeper, more sinister voice for gambler McGowan.
