Pulitzer Prize winner Natalie Angier draws us a map, then takes us on a journey through that most lush landscape -- the woman's body. We travel from the interior, "A Gray and Yellow Basket: The Bounteous Ovary," to the regions of "The Well-Tempered Clavier: The Evolution of the Clitoris," and "Circular Reasoning: The Story of The Breast." We are treated to an intelligent, informative, often humorous "scientific fantasia of womanhood." Gabrielle de Cuir's performance reflects Angier's slant, which is often mocking of men, but only briefly and most affectionately. De Cuir's reading is assured and strong, especially in passages debunking the myths and cultural biases that form our attitudes about women's bodies.
