THE CASE OF THE INDIAN FLASHLIGHTS

by | Read by a Full Cast

Audio Theater • 1.25 hrs. • Audio Program • © 2000

After an interminable introduction, another episode of Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater begins, this time with a Captain Waverly case. Written and produced by Steven Oney, these plays feature volunteers, mostly amateurs, in adventures set in picturesque Cape Cod. Underhill, a retired cop, develops an infatuation for an attractive young lawyer who wishes to recover an uncle's strongbox from a shady antique dealer. The production is amiable, unchallenging, atmospheric, and leisurely; the acting, though a bit inconsistent, is competent enough; the writing clever and professional. Altogether enjoyable. Y.R.
