FIREMAN SMALL

All the excitement and glamour of the firefighting world is highlighted for the younger set. Fireman Small, the sole fireman on his side of town, responds tirelessly to rescue calls--a treed cat, a lost bunny, and a bakery fire. Sleep eludes the gallant firefighter each time he returns to the station. Robert Saoud voices great pleasure in his narration as he champions Fireman Small. Saoud elongates sentences, exaggerates character responses, and emphasizes rhymes. Background music heightens the drama, and, of course, there is a clanging fire bell!
