Delightful selections of Handel's music are interspersed in this recording for kids of all ages. THE WATER MUSIC, MUSIC FOR THE ROYAL FIREWORKS, HARPSICHORD SUITE IN E MAJOR, and THE MESSIAH are all here, along with many others. One cannot help but be taken in by the melodies and want to hear more about the life and work of George Frideric Handel. The story line revolves around his concern for the plight of London's orphans in the late 1700s. Assisted by the young Katarina, Handel brings relief to the exceptional Thomas through both material and musical sustenance. Thomas's singing is breathtaking and supported by fine musicians and a girls' chorus. This is a recording to listen to over and over again. A.R.
