MURDER BY THE TALE

This collection of 14 short stories, 8 from the Lieutenant Mendoza series and 6 other tales, is ably read by Alan Sklar. Sklar has a straightforward, clear, concise delivery. His accent for Mendoza of the L.A. Police Department is good, and he easily moves between genders and distinguishes the numerous characters. Sklar's matter-of-fact style and evenly modulated voice heighten the trademark realism of Del Shannon.
