In a remarkably candid memoir, acclaimed actor Michael J. Fox confronts his devils and angels, and the many steps that brought him to his current personal and professional achievement. Fox holds nothing back in describing both his love for his family, and his struggles with alcoholism and the "magical thinking" of celebrity. Narrating the first chapter, Fox laughs easily at himself as he brings laughter to his audience. When Scott Brick takes over, we miss the author's familiar voice only for a few minutes. Brick's thorough mastery of Fox's vocal patterns and inflections are soon convincing. Brick even enunciates better than the author, without drawing attention to the fact. R.P.L.
