TURBULENCE

by | Read by John J. Nance

Fiction • 12 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2002

TURBULENCE is not recommended for in-flight relaxation. It's scary stuff from a writer who doubles as a television aviation analyst. Nance paints the entire airline industry with one broad brushstroke of disgust. Fictitious Meridian Airlines is portrayed as dangerously inept, bumbling its way through an astonishing series of near disasters. This recording would have been better served by a professional reader. The author's crisp voice and solid timing adequately present the story but fall short of bringing the tale to life. Characterizations are lukewarm, and dialects are inconsistent. N.M.C. © AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC 02/ JAN 03]
