Investigative reporter Gerald Posner has written a detailed and sometimes provocative examination--the product of two years of research--of the life of Perot from his childhood to his business ventures with EDS and General Motors to his political activities (concluding in late 1995). This is a tremendously informative work about this enigmatic public figure. Chris Lane’s reading is evenly paced and clear, with appropriate pauses so that the listener can digest the copious information. However, one is left wishing that Lane could have given greater characterization to those quoted in the text, especially Perot. M.L.C. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/NOV 98]
