DUNE House Corrino

HOUSE CORRINO is the final book in the Dune prequel trilogy. Michael Prichard narrates this story of greed and intrigue. Although some prior experience with the Dune series is a plus, the integral role of a narcotic spice in politics and society is clear from the beginning, and this story stands on its own. Prichard's narration is strong; he sustains control over the story to the very end. Given its length, his steady and smooth presentation is essential. He draws out the personality of the main characters, especially the worst of the villains. Quotes from various figures in Dune history introduce segments of the book; Prichard sets them apart and treats them with the respect they deserve. J.E.M.
