UNFIT TO PRACTICE

Laural Merlington's performance of O'Shaughnessy's mystery is almost perfect. Accomplished defense lawyer Nina Reilly is herself being tried by the State Bar of California for grievous, unethical conduct. After her vehicle containing client files and privileged data is stolen, someone begins to release damaging information to her clients' detriment. Finding out how who the culprit is and how Reilly avoids disbarment makes for interesting listening. Laural Merlington's lustrous voice and smooth performance are marred only slightly by her habit of sometimes pausing in the middle of a line. A.L.H.
