A PITYING OF DOVES Birder Murder Mystery, Book 2

by | Read by David Thorpe

Mystery & Suspense • 12.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2015

Chief Inspector Domenic Jejeune, a Canadian living in England, and an avid birder, is investigating a murder that took place at a Norfolk bird sanctuary. It's a touchy situation, as members of the Mexican consulate are involved, making Jejeune's investigation quite difficult. Narrator David Thorpe does an excellent job with the characters' English, Canadian, and Mexican accents, keeping the listener engaged and entertained. This is the second installment of the series, and while it can stand on its own, listeners may find it more enjoyable to start with the first audiobook. Thorpe's quick pace and emotional aptitude lead the listener through the tangled mystery while making the details of bird watching, genetics, and preservation even more fascinating.
