A DRAGON IN THE FAMILY

Darek, who has been taught to hate and fear dragons, finds that Blue dragons are not dangerous at all; he decides to bring Zantor--a playful, peaceful dragon--home to convince his people to change their customs. But even Darek's father cannot accept the baby dragon, and as his friends turn way from him, Darek must make some hard choices. Jeff Woodman reads with emotion and expression, building excitement and tension with sure, steady steps. His human voices are individualized, giving an accurate, if simple, view of the major characters, and his dragon sounds are delightful. This short, simplistic story teaches small truths.
