COLD COLD HEART

A serial killer is on a spree, marking his victims with lyrics from the Hank Williams classic, "Cold Cold Heart." In this tense, fast-moving procedural former CIA agent Mike Culley is reactivated to track the resettled KGB defector suspected of committing the murders. He joins forces with able and alluring Julie Hauser, a former NYPD cop-turned-reporter. Stephen Lang's urgent and absorbing narration makes this deft thriller one of the best audios of the year. His skillful portrayals bring Elliott's sharply drawn characters to life. In both the full-bodied narrative and fully realized dramatic scenes, Lang's vocal performance compellingly reveals gender, emotions, mental state and personality.
