Jan Francis portrays a nameless narrator who laments the many transgressions of her little sister. This collection of stand-alone short stories is presented like a chapter book, and Francis's reading can't overcome the significant amount of repetition from story to story. In some parts, as when the little sister meets her favorite television personality or knits a scarf for the neighbor, Francis's interpretations are priceless. And her imitation of a temper tantrum is dead-on. But her emphatic tone sometimes lapses into condescension. This uneven production will leave some listeners laughing and others wanting. A.F.
