Archaeologist Callie Dunbrook must sift through and analyze not only the Maryland site where 5,000-year-old bones have been found, but also her own personal puzzle. Bernadette Quigley brings the independent and strong-willed Callie alive and delivers an authentic Southern accent for the older, tense Suzanne, the woman who claims to be Callie's real mother. Quigley's vocalization of many of the men is gruff, but she masters the difficult job of depicting Callie's sexy ex-husband, who is thrown back into her life. Musical interludes set the mood and mark the transition of cassettes. The rhythm flows comfortably, and the pacing of banter between the characters moves along smoothly.
