Dr. Pollock is committed to teaching the basics of physics without intimidating math and vocabulary. That said, the task is formidable, too formidable. The basics of physics are not clear without the supporting equations and language. Pollock timidly tiptoes around technical concepts in a patronizing, high voice. He speaks rapidly, referring to photos or charts we cannot see. It's evident that Pollock is trying hard, but the ideas are too abstract, and the goals of this course are not suited for audio. A.G.H.
