ANSWERS TO DISTRACTION

These two experts on attention deficit disorder have a number of very good audios on the subject. This one, read by the contained and erudite John McDonough, provides answers to the many questions the authors have received at seminars over the years. They cover every aspect of the disorder from diagnosis to interactions with other disorders and a wide range of therapies and remedial strategies. Though published in print in 1994, the information is essentially current, even if it doesn't benefit from the brain-imaging data that in recent years has clarified the brain mechanisms responsible for attention, behavioral control, task sequencing, and distractibility. With an unabridged reference like this, a printed index would help listeners find sections they want to return to. T.W.
