CORALENA

In the 1970s Sophia moves into the Coralena, an apartment in a favorite part of her German hometown. She meets new people and closely explores her surroundings, including her apartment. She soon unearths some ugly truths about what occurred in the Coralena during WWII. Both she and those around her are placed in jeopardy as she advances her bold plan for revenge. Christopher Kay's understated narration is appropriate to his fiery subject. The complex story is enriched by his clear delivery and excellent accents as Kay weaves a sense of foreboding and dark secrets. German and war buffs will be richly rewarded by this unusual novel.
