STORMRIDER

STORMRIDER is a novel of adventure and clan honor. There's not much magic remaining in this world, but there are forces of evil on the move, and uneasy alliances are required to respond. Christopher Kay narrates in a steady manner, maintaining interest and compassion for the seemingly hopeless military position in which the Rigante find themselves. Kay tells the story as one who guards the family history and has a fondness for events and people who have gone before. Kay brings to the narrative passages a freshness that is sustained throughout the book. In creating distinct voices for the main characters, he animates the dialogue without exaggeration. J.E.M.
