THE WOMAN MOST LIKELY TO...

by | Read by Barbara McCulloh

Romantic Fiction • 10.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2002

Any listener searching for a charming romance need look no further. Jennifer Greene's story is the perfect mind-candy for anyone hoping to escape into a world where every ending is happy, even if somewhat predictable. Barbara McCulloh's narration, while enjoyable enough, doesn't quite have the depth needed to extend the listener's imagination, but she does capture the idiosyncrasies and ups and downs of three generations of Sinclair women and their respective men. McCulloh shines when reading heroine Susan Sinclair's lines, in part because Susan remains the most level-headed throughout the novel. It's a bit of a stretch for McCulloh to capture the histrionics of the other women, although she gives a solid effort. While not perfect, the result is an enjoyable listening experience. H.L.S.
