SAFE HOUSES

by | Read by Dan Fesperman

Mystery & Suspense • 13.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2018

Author Dan Fesperman narrates his latest spy thriller with a breathless intensity. The audiobook follows the stories of two heroines, mother and daughter, who are placed in danger because of dark deeds in the world of espionage. The mother, Helen, is a low-level C.I.A. operative stationed in West Berlin in 1979 whose job is to manage agency safe houses. She accidentally learns secrets and witnesses crimes that force her to go on the run and then be murdered 35 years later when she is a farm wife in Maryland. Fesperman does a fine job of portraying Helen's youth, idealism, and integrity. The other characters are also believable and well presented. This action-packed novel will keep the listener engrossed.
