Jada and Wellington are the star-crossed lovers of this delicious story of love, sex, and self-discovery. Indigo Brown makes male and female voices equally credible in this evocative multicultural plot. Brown's sultry voice finds a perfect venue in African-American erotic fiction. If her hissing S's had been left as a stylistic note to the narrative voice of the novel, it would have been an interesting component. As they are constantly audible, they become an irritant, disrupting our listening pleasure. P.R.
