Julia, Samantha, and Maeve all hear the ticking of their biological clocks in this story of love, lust, and the desire to have babies, or not. Julia desperately wants a child and tries everything, including standing on her head to get pregnant. Samantha is just plain pooped after having hers and being up all hours. Maeve doesn't want a baby, but ends up pregnant anyway. As Kate Reading reads this cheerful tale of relationships and desires, the characters grow rounder, and the emotions swing from one end of the spectrum to the other. Reading becomes these incredible women whom Green has blessed with charm, humor, and insight. If you liked Jane Green's other books, you'll love this one. M.B.K.
