DANGEROUS ATTACHMENTS

Dr. Sylvia Strange is a forensic psychiatrist asked to evaluate New Mexico prison inmate Lucas Watson for possible parole. A psychopathic killer who collects body parts, Watson develops a dangerous attachment to Dr. Strange, which is reminiscent of Hannibal Lecter's relationship with FBI agent Starling in Silence of the Lambs. Lindsay Crouse's performance is not quite tough enough for the rough language and tough characters, especially the male roles, and she occasionally lapses into a strange Southern accent. Her pace is perfect, however, as she methodically narrates this tale of obsession and terror, which will delight fans of the genre. J.L. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: FEB 96]
