THE GALLOWS LAND

Southwestern Arizona more than a hundred years ago, "the gallows land," was a place where a man could die just as sure as if he had a rope around his neck. Into the sun-baked desert wanders Roy Boone, headed west, anywhere west. His beloved young wife has died of exhaustion, and a big part of Roy died with her. Weary and thirsty, he happens upon an out-of-the-way ranch, where he meets Jennifer, the victim of an abusive husband. Then two mysterious men try to kill him. There's a bank robbery. A posse. And a dusty stage ride to Yuma in hopes of escape. Richard Ferrone's voice is as gritty as the desert sand.
