Davidson's rich baritone is perfect for the suave Archy McNally, Palm Beach's most discreet inquirer. The annual "Tennis, Everyone" fundraiser is marred when a young waiter is found floating in Nifty MacNiff's pristine swimming pool. Davidson does a passable job with the female voices of Archy's love--State Trooper Georgia--and his mother. But he really shines with the accents and various pacing and tonal changes with which he characterizes the male voices. As his natural delivery captures Archy's sartorial splendor and acumen in crime-solving, he keeps listeners interested in the suspenseful plot. S.C.A.
