Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz is passionate about everything. In THE CASE FOR ISRAEL, Dershowitz demonstrates his passion for Israel, defends the nation's role as the sole democracy in the Middle East, explains why he believes Israel's actions are the result of years of attacks and not a desire to expand, and documents his opinions with facts and historical perspective. Those familiar with Professor Dershowitz are aware of his no-nonsense, quick-talking style. Unfortunately, that style doesn't translate well to audio, making it difficult at times to follow his well-reasoned arguments. There's no mistaking the intensity of Dershowitz's feelings, but a slower pace, or a different narrator, would have made them easier to understand. D.J.S.
