TADPOLE

Well, here we are--as Winston Churchill Birch (Tadpole) would say. It's rural Kentucky in 1955, and the four Collins girls and their mother are making it as best they can. When they get a surprise visit from their favorite cousin, Tadpole, the summer seems to be looking up, but Tad is fleeing an abusive uncle, who is determined to get his nephew back. How can the Collins family keep Tadpole safe and keep their own heads above water?
