With the help of artist Susa Donovan, a contemporary of Lacey's grandfather, and Investigator Ian Lapstrake, Lacey digs into her family's past and learns that her grandfather was a man of many secrets. Although the listener will likely solve the puzzle long before the final chapter, Bresnahan delivers an absorbing performance with scenes of sensual encounters, bitter confrontations, and imminent danger.
