DEATH IS NOW MY NEIGHBOR

by | Read by Kevin Whately

Mystery & Suspense • 3 hrs. • Abridged • © 1997

Kevin Whately is an admirable guide to the latest episode from Colin Dexter. Inspector Morse puzzles over the death of a young woman, with frequent stops at the pub, and follows the usual assortment of red herring leads. Whately is excellent with Morse's querulousness and equally adept at Sergeant Lewis's shy, good nature. The abridgment is quite smooth even as the focus switches between interviews of suspects and the succession of power in one of the Oxford colleges.
