WIZARD'S FIRST RULE

Good news for fans of the Sword of Truth series--the first book in the series is now available on audio. This classic tale of good and evil is set in a complex world with characters of all shapes and sizes. In the opening episode protagonist Richard Cypher begins to understand himself and his heritage of magic against a backdrop of violence and other extreme events. Jim Bond is a steady and dependable narrator. As a third-party observer, he is a detached, yet interested reader. His characterizations are animated and relaxed, helping to keep the story moving and maintaining listener interest. The length of this book, as with others in the series, should not be a deterrent, as Bond sets a good pace and stays fresh to the end. J.E.M.
