THE HORSE WITH MY NAME Life is Never Black and White

In this chaotic story, ex-journalist and alcoholic Dan Starkey staggers from one improbable situation to another in Ireland and Northern Ireland, while bodies pile up around him and he makes one idiotic decision after another. Somehow the Chinese mafia blunders into his life and nearly removes him from it; Irish thugs do the same; and the girl he's involved with is a master of deception. The problem with Ban-Lavery's reading is the accent. It's so thick that the American ear must strain to make things out. Don't drive when trying to listen to this one. D.A.W.
