BEO'S BEDROOM

This verse play written in rhyming couplets has the cadence of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." Children enjoy this, though adults may tire of it before their offspring do. Kids also like the drama and variety lent by the capable cast of voices: There is Beo, the young girl who is afraid of the dark; her bear, Bard, who helps her fight the demons of the dark; and The Grund, a scary creature who sounds somewhat like Darth Vader. This tale is probably best for slightly older children who have already waged and won their wars with what lurks in the dark. J.C.G.
