Dr. Alex Delaware, psychologist/detective, appears in Jonathan Kellerman’s seventh audiobook. This time he is called in to shed light on the mysterious illnesses plaguing young Cassie Jones, who is the granddaughter of the head of the hospital. John Rubinstein, who has performed six of Kellerman’s previous audiobooks, again provides the same enthusiastic and energetic interpretation. His narration and dramatization of the characters are immediately recognizable for Kellerman fans. The story line is easy to follow, and interludes of dramatic music help to set the various scenes.
