In this small tale, Harry and Emily learn that Thanksgiving isn't just about their favorite foods--it's about giving thanks. After listening to the story of the first Thanksgiving, they decide to provide a feast for the hungry birds, squirrels, and chipmunks outside. Suzanne Toren (who has narrated other holiday stories featuring Harry and Emily) does an equally fine job here. Toren reads clearly and carefully for the beginning reader and has a knack for enunciating each syllable of a word clearly without sounding strange or condescending.
