A BRIEF HISTORY OF SLIME!

by | Read by Nigel Lambert

Children Ages 8+ • 3.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2003

This work, with an apparent reference to Stephen Hawking's well-known book, concerns a British schoolboy named Smiler. He goes to visit his grandfather, who is living in an old iron fort on the coast. There Smiler discovers that, in the ancient past, slime molds ruled the world and these very same molds have come back from the past and attached themselves to the fort. While dealing with the molds, he encounters the world's worst clown, a huge maggot, nasty head lice, and . . . well, it's best to listen to it. Anyway, this work will appeal more to the children of reviewers than to the reviewers themselves. Nigel Lambert never ceases to amaze. This energetic narrator gives a flawless performance that displays his energy and versatility to the max. M.T.F. (c) AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine [Published: JUN/ JUL 04]
