BUSINESS ETHICS Successful Business Practices

Business ethics are apparently quite complex, given that the best educated and highest paid CEOs often don't seem to understand them. This program is a series of interviews with successful entrepreneurs who rely on Christian principles in leading their various enterprises. The stories are often the familiar ones of success, loss, and redemption. The presentation is upbeat, as in the manner of many motivational discourses. The voices are varied, but sonorous and resonant of faith. The Weber hypothesis attributes the economic ascendancy of the U.S., Germany, and England to the unique forms of Protestantism that developed in these countries. This series of interviews provides some of the theological underpinnings of this hypothesis. It's a comfort to know that some business leaders are motivated by higher values. J.W.
