Late on a stormy night, Peter, a bedraggled kitten, is left in the museum. Listeners will join kittens Boris, Bianca, Tasha, and their grandad, Ivan, who live in the building and spend nights exploring. As Peter, Oades sounds timid and frightened when Boris bullies him. Bianca--the pretty one--is condescending, but Tasha kindly helps him become acquainted with his new world. Vivid descriptions of the shadowy halls, mummy exhibits, a grumpy night watchman, and scurrying rats add atmosphere. When Boris accidentally breaks a T-Rex tail, the kittens make suggestions and team up to make repairs. A clever solution and satisfying conclusion will appeal to young listeners.
