GOOD GRIEF

At 36, Sophie Stanton is newly widowed. The stages of grief take her from her home in California to a new home in Oregon as she copes with denial, overeating, oversleeping, sloth, forgetfulness, and the deep sadness of missing her husband. Narrator Cassandra Campbell relates Sophie's erratic behavior with a heavy attitude, and there are so many unhappinesses in her story that the telling weighs the listener down.
