Read with taste and respect by Robert O'Keefe, the author's message is that overly pleasing and compliant men can function with more confidence, independence, and sexual authority once they understand their doormat mentality. But Dr. Glover uses a parade of tired generalizations and over-the-top client vignettes that oversimplify or contradict many of the insights behavioral science has given us. He doesn't adequately consider depressive and anxiety disorders nor offer much help with character obstacles to change. Despite his self-assured tone, the audio misses the boat in important ways, often sounds patronizing, and fails to offer listeners adequate information and advice on personal problems like this.
