True crime writer turned sleuth Bailey Weggins is perfectly portrayed by Karen White. Bailey was a bridesmaid in a well-known society wedding. Soon three of the bridesmaids are dead in bizarre accidents, and Bailey's life is threatened. White gives Bailey a feisty, self-deprecating voice. She also handles the colorful characters effectively, using accents, pacing, and pitch to move between ages, gender, and social class. Bailey follows a dangerous trail of clues from elegant Greenwich to New York's Lower East Side and even to Miami. This light mystery is cleverly plotted and smoothly presented. S.C.A.
