Her voice is lovely, with wry undertones, and she has a keen sense of emotional intelligence. Crawford's story is not unique, but that is precisely what makes it so infuriating. When she was a student at St. Paul's School, in New Hampshire, those in charge chose to protect its prestigious reputation by sacrificing her health and reputation after she was attacked by upperclassmen. Crawford is honest and expressive, and her rage, fear, and hopelessness are tangible. There are moments of wit and gratitude, too, such as when a female priest lends her dog for security during solo runs and a popular teammate publicly befriends her.
