THE ADVENTURES OF RED CLOUD

This full-cast space opera sports professional music, sound effects, and acting at the level of the summer action movie. Traci Lords plays heroine Wendy McCloud with tongue appropriately in cheek. Wendy is a planetary president's daughter, a bisexual hooker with a taste for sex, violence, and beef jerky, who goes undercover as Red Cloud to thwart interplanetary pirates. While a certain puerility is acceptable in space opera, this program is actually offensive--misogynistic and immature in its depiction of politics, human relations, and plotting.
